News from Watches and Wonders the new Rolex Yacht-Master 42 RLX Titanium 226627

Following Rolex’s introduction of its first titanium watch, the Deepsea Challenge, enthusiasts anticipated the release of more wearable titanium timepieces. Their expectations were met with the unveiling of the new Yacht-Master 42 for 2023. Crafted in RLX titanium and paired with an Oyster bracelet and black Cerachrom ceramic bezel, this model represents a notable addition to the Yacht-Master lineup.

RLX titanium, a grade 5 titanium alloy meticulously chosen by Rolex, offers exceptional attributes such as lightweight construction, corrosion resistance, and impressive strength. The 42mm titanium case showcases various finishes, including a satin finish with a visible grain on the middle case sides, bracelet link edges, and clasp cover sides. Additionally, the chamfered top edges of the lugs and crown guards feature a high-sheen finish, while the bidirectional matt black ceramic bezel boasts raised polished numerals and graduations.

The Yacht-Master 42 ref. 226627 sports a black dial adorned with Chromalight lume-filled hour markers and Mercedes-style hands. Consistent with other Yacht-Master models, this titanium version incorporates a date window at 3 o’clock magnified by a Cyclops lens on the sapphire crystal.

The Oyster bracelet is equipped with the Oysterlock folding safety clasp and Easylink comfort extension link. Powering the 2023 Rolex Yacht-Master 42 ref. 226627 is the Caliber 3235 automatic movement, similar to several other Yacht-Master watches.
